The Calgary Amhara Youth Association (CAYA) protested against the atrocities that are going on in Omoro region of Ethiopia, which are the killings of Amhara people by the government.

A form of genocide, the CAYA want to spread awareness on this issue as not a lot of people know about this. At the same time, a protest about saving small businesses, hosted by Calgary Freedom Central, were in Courthouse park, and marched towards the Amhara protest, or Calgary City Hall rather. They did this and then marched back to the park.

Later, the Amhara protest took to Stephen Avenue and marched down the street; however, they were stopped by the police after walking a block because they did not have the paperwork required to continue to march through Stephen Avenue.
